abc 7 news starts right now with live breaking news. >> and that breaking news, tonight is out of richmond. westbound 580 is shut down after a pedestrian was hit and killed by a car. officials don't know what the man was doing on the freeway. good evening and thank you for joining us. just one day after a fatal shooting at l.a.x. a scare at sfo. police board a plane and escort a passenger off a jetblue flight. this is video you'll only see on abc 7 news. it began on a flight from long beach to sfo. abc 7 news reporter nick smith is live with the latest.

>> reporter: a security concern that threatened the nature of the aircraft forced a flight to be delayed, a passenger to be removed from the plane and arrested for being drunk and disorderly in public. tonight, the video that you'll see only on abc 7 news. >> he said the plane is going to go down, this plane is going to be destroyed. >> reporter: that's what one passenger told us he overheard a man near him scream above jetblue flight 1136. >> he said it so loud in volume he got my attention. >> reporter: abc 7 news spoke with patrick alexander who caught parts of the moments on his smartphone. >> my hand was shaking and i was nervous the entire time. >> reporter: the flight was en route to sfo from long beach. as soon as the flight crew was aware of the threat, the airport security met the plane when it landed. the officers board the plane and

bay area but he was heading from l.a.x. to a video shoot in delaware. the shootings caused dozens of cancellations in the bay area. today eight flights to and fro l.a.x. were cancelled. be sure to check your flight status with your airline. breaking news out of alameda county. six teenagers have been rescued after getting lost hiking. the teens got the top of the peak and lost the trail heading back. >> and we got on the wrong route and we tried to backtrack but then it started to get dark and we lost the trail and ended up in the field and called the cops. here we are. >> the regional park police got a 911 call relayed from fremont police. the teens were not so much scared as they were cold. friends and family of a teenager shot and killed by a sheriff's deputy gathered to thank the community for its

covering los altos, petaluma and all the bay area, this is abc 7 news. former alameda county supervisor is now telling her story. a sex and drug scandal that forced her out of office. she sat down with dan noyes for an exclusive interview she views as an important step for getting on with her life. >> reporter: nadya davis was a political rising star in 2002. president of the santa ana school board, lawyer, daughter of an immigration attorney when she met the state attorney general at the time. >> we could talk for hours. policy things and he had great stories. >> reporter: they married, settled in hayward and had a son. after bill became state

treasurer he transferred money into her accounts. she won the election and spent a month in rehab. >> i admitted myself. >> reporter: that's where she met a san jose construction worker dealing with a methamphetamine addiction. >> i thought he was a genuine person when i first met him and made the stupid mistake of believing i had to save him. >> reporter: nadya won the election for the supervisor, the high point of her career. but on the personal front, arguments with her husband led to an affair and her own addiction to meth. >> when did you start using? >> i was an elected official and i was a mother and i was a wife. and i made that deshl, bad choice. i'm responsible for making it. >> reporter: steve refused to be

interviewed for the story and e-mailed me i have been completely clean and sober since january. i'm continuing on the path to rebuilding my life and made too much progress to bring up the past. when the smoke filled your lungs, was it clear to you that i'm in trouble? this is addicting? i'm hooked. >> that wasn't a thought in my head. i think i would have stopped. it was i enjoy this. i like it. and then -- >> reporter: was it a powerful attraction to it? >> it was immediate. >> reporter: nadya and bill began living apart. she tried to break up with her lover several times. he revealed he had a sex tape. >> did he ask you to concept to the tape? >> i would check his phone a lot to see if he had because he had

recorded us before. >> reporter: bill found the copy of the sex video lift in the mailbox at their home. >> the pain that he must have felt. he asked if i was involved with someone and i said yes. >> reporter: the pressure continued to build until 2012. someone was trying to access their bank accounts online and when bill questioned her she said it could be him. >> he said, why don't you go ahead and commit suicide knowing that i had become suicidal in treatment and was on the edge for those three months. it was the most devastating thing that i have ever heard come out of my husband's mouth. >> reporter: bill declined to be interviewed for this report. his spokesman said that he wouldn't get into the details

but suffice to say they had a heated argument and they both said hurtful things they regret. after the argument, nadya left with their son, bought food from target and got a room at this hotel. late that night, her lover arrived. nadya questioned him about the plans to expose their drug use and their affair and he attacked. >> i remember waking up on the floor and i couldn't move my body and i just like gave up. like i thought if i fought, you know, i would -- i was going to die. >> reporter: his attorney denied he assaulted her telling the l.a. times last year, i think she has issues and struggling. we are watching someone fall apart in the public eye. she suffered bruises to her head and neck and a concussion. because she worked for the droerng the doctor direct --
